At Iona Property, we don’t just invest in homes, we invest in people. We’re a family-run, community-powered venture shaped by lived experience, built through hardship, resilience, and a commitment to do things differently.

Our story began when my wife, our eldest son, and I moved to Scotland with no safety net and £260 to our name. We were a working family, but the system treated us as parts, not a whole. A few landlords took a chance on us—and that chance became our foundation. We went on to raise ten children, each part of our family mission.

We also saw the other side of housing: 12 years in a private rental that failed us. Structural problems ignored. Health impacted. Indifference from those who should care. In January 2024, we lost our baby daughter, Iona, to pneumonia. She died in that house. That moment changed everything.

Iona Property was born in her memory—as a promise to create safe, ethical homes rooted in compassion.

What We Do
